About me

My name is Joe Mulier. As a child I wanted to become a dancer, painter or sculptor. I was looking for a way to express myself through the body, with my hands. I still have this urge for artistic expression. By capturing dance, I can freeze movements that inspire me and turn them into a physical object.

Statues have always fascinated me. How viewing a fixed object, a moment frozen in time, looks different from every single angle. This affects the way you appreciate the piece.

My desire for artistic expression, my love for the aesthetics of the human body and my personal experiences come together in my work and turned into Dance Pocket Art.
